The Inn at Warner Hall sits on 38 waterfront acres in Gloucester, Virginia. Augustine Warner received the land in a royal grant in 1642 and founded a plantation here. He was George Washington’s great-great-grandfather, and Washington is known to have visited the estate.
Today the Colonial Revival manor house is a boutique inn with 11 individually decorated rooms and suites, many with gas fireplaces and river or garden views. A separate River Cottage sits near the water with its own kitchen. The property is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register.
Three of America’s most important colonial and Revolutionary sites are a short drive from the inn.
